The University recognises the importance of ‘good wellbeing’ and is committed to providing a healthy working environment and improving the quality of working lives for all staff.
The wellbeing strategy aims to support the University’s mission and core values of freedom of thought and expression, freedom from discrimination and the recognition that the University’s staff are its greatest asset.
The wellbeing strategy’s ultimate goal is to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of University staff and to prevent work associated ill health, for the overall benefit of staff and the organisation.
Clinical School Cookbook: Food for Thought
After one of the Regius Welcome Events, an idea came about to create a Clinical School Cookbook. You told us you wanted to share your creations and learn from others, so if you have a family favourite, or an original recipe that you would like to share, please fill out the form below. We are so excited to launch the online Cookbook and look forward to seeing and sharing all your wonderful recipes.
Mental Health Awareness Week and The Staff Virtual Benefits and Wellbeing Roadshow
10th May to 21st May 2021
This year, the theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is Nature and the Environment and the Clinical School has organised a number of virtual events over a two week period. The first week includes numerous courageous and inspirational guest speakers including Neil Laybourn and Jonny Benjamin MBE (Strangers on the Bridge) interviewed by Professor Ed Bullmore, Richard McCann shares his very personal story about how he turned his life around following the death of his mother and a difficult upbringing where he will share tips and strategies on resilience, through to talks on mental health and childrem by Professor Tamsin Ford CBE and Professor Paul Fletcher will be delivering a great talk on psychosis. There will be exercise classes and much more. Week two is packed full of talks on staff benefits including hearing from the Reward Team, Staff Counselling, recruiting Apprentices through to talks on posture and payroll giving and much more. Continuing with the theme of Nature and the Environment, we are also running a photo competition with some fantastic prizes.
